About Dallas

At one time a part of Mexico, Dallas is a major focal point for immigrants from the United States’ southern neighbor. With a population of 1.3 million, there are a large number of foreign-born residents, as well as people born outside the state of Texas. Attracted by the sunny climate, delicious food including the distinctive Tex-Mex cuisine, and the work opportunities, the diverse population now makes Dallas the ninth largest city in America. Home to twelve Fortune 500 companies, the Dallas economy is based primarily on telecommunications, computer technology, banking and commerce.

Testimonials

Many of my work clients speak Spanish as their first or second language, so it’s been really useful to gain an understanding of it. I really enjoyed the lessons and it was so helpful to have class options near where I work and live.
