About San Jose

“Do you know the way to San José” goes the famous song, and the hoards certainly do, making San José the tenth largest city in the United States. It grew in importance along with the technology boom of the late 1990’s – it’s considered the capital of Silicon Valley and still houses many high-technology computer and engineering companies. The tech boom also brought many new foreign-born citizens, and over 40 languages are now spoken in the city. With a Mediterranean climate, San José is a pleasant place to be year-round, and has the distinction of being home to one of only three Japantown areas remaining in the United States.

Testimonials

Back in India we learned some English in school but it sounds so different here in America! Shaun has been very patient with me and has really helped me understand the accent. His classes have made settling in here so much easier. Thanks Shaun!
