For example, we may walk in to a friend&#8217;s house for the first time and feel like we have been there previously.<\/p>\n<p>The French, however, have a range of terms to describe the different feelings that in English we may all describe as <em>d\u00e9j\u00e0 vu. D\u00e9j\u00e0<\/em> is the French word for &#8220;already&#8221;, and <em>vu <\/em>means &#8220;seen&#8221;. There&#8217;s also <em>d\u00e9j\u00e0 senti <\/em>(already felt), <em>d\u00e9j\u00e0 vecu<\/em> (already experienced) and <em>d\u00e9j\u00e0 visite<\/em> (already visited).<\/p>\n<p>The example I provided above then, would more accurately be described as <em>d\u00e9j\u00e0 visite<\/em>.
