Once you have booked your course and your booking has been received by us, we will begin arranging an instructor for you who is available to teach at your specified location and date. Depending on the language that you have booked as well as your location, the coordination process can take up to 14 days.
Please note that we also have a minimum booking of 2 hours.
TopThis depends on you and the time that you plan to invest in your course, i.e. studying and practicing outside of class time. We generally recommend a 30-hour course (15 x 2 hours sessions) as it will help you reach the next language level (beginner/ elementary/ intermediate/advanced).
TopOur instructors are native-speaker language instructors who have extensive experience in teaching their native tongue as a foreign language. All of our instructors have a university degree in their own language and many of them hold specific qualifications in foreign language instruction.
TopYes, Language Museum offers two-to-one instruction as well as group instruction.
We do require that students wishing to study in a group share approximately the same language level. Students will also need to be available to study at the same time and location each week. Language Museum will need a notification of three full working days prior to the lesson should the entire group wish to cancel a class.
TopCourses need to be paid in full by a debit or credit card. We also accept payment through PayPal. Language Museum does not offer a "pay as you go" system; our course fees are due in full in order for us to begin arranging a instructor for you.
If you wish to pay through PayPal but do not have an account, don’t worry. Payments made through PayPal are extremely quick and completely safe. You will not have to provide us with your credit card information at any time since you input this information directly onto PayPal’s secured site.
TopAlthough these circumstances are rare, they do happen. Should you find that you do not get along with your instructor or are having a problem with his/her teaching methods, we ask that you contact us as soon as possible. At Language Museum, we will do our very best to make the situation right again.
If, however, you are not satisfied with the solution, we will immediately find a replacement instructor for your course. If we are unable to find a suitable replacement, we will issue you a refund for any untaught hours.
TopNo. There are no hidden fees or costs. The prices expressed on the website are final. We also do not charge sales tax. As such, this tax is not included in our prices.
TopUnfortunately, we are not able to offer a free trial class. Experience has shown us that most instructors are unwilling to teach a single lesson because it does not allow them to get an accurate gauge on the entire course just by teaching one class.
TopIn general, we do not recommend that you change the date and location of your lessons. However, life happens and we understand that a schedule and/or location change may be necessary. Should you need to do so, Language Museum and your instructor need a notification within three full working days prior to your next lesson. The instructor must also agree that a location change will not incur any further costs.
TopWe require a notification within three full working days prior to your next lesson. Should you cancel a class with less than three days notice, the class will be considered taught and cannot be rescheduled or refunded.
TopWe will always try to arrange a instructor who is able to commit to the entire length of your course. However unforeseen events do happen. In the rare case that your instructor need to abandon your course before all classes have been taught, Language Museum will schedule a replacement instructor for any remaining lessons.
TopIf you should find that you are unable to finish your course, a credit will be issued to you for the balance of the invoice, minus any hourly cost of any classes that have already taken place. You will also incur a cancelation fee of unless you give us notice of the course cancelation at least three full working days in advance of your first class.
TopOnce your course begins, all classes must be completed within 1.5 months for a 10-hour course, 3 months for a 20-hour course or 4 months for a 30-hour course. Any classes that are not completed within the specified timeframe will be forfeited.
TopUnfortunately because of costs, we are unable to offer course materials like text books. However you are always free to ask your instructor advice on the best course book(s) for you. Extra costs spent on photocopies, work-sheets/print-outs, etc. are to be paid directly to the instructor.
